During the IMSH2025 conference, Jake Rahman interviewed the Head of EuroMedSim, Dr. Maxim Gorshkov. The interview was organized as part of the #BetweenTwoSimulators project by the European publishing house SimZine. 

The conversation revolved around the challenges and opportunities of using simulators in surgery and other manual medical specialties, the role of XR-technologies in training medical professionals and how they could be more widely implemented. Topics discussed included the challenges to making surgical simulation training and assessment mandatory, the role of VR and AR technologies in training healthcare professionals, and catalysts for their wider adoption.
